Friends, I love the Nationals pick, and I will tell you this , they picked a Lefty from Duke named Manno. Saw him in the cape , and followed him and others in the ACC . He is a sleeper. Just a hint Cape Cod 4-0 1.31 ERA 50K’s in 43 INN
Pitched in the all star Game , Struck out 5 of 6 including 3 first round picks. Pitched the Championship game for Harwich struck out 10 in the win. Wow I sound like his brother or best friend, but as a old time scout , the make up on this kid is off the charts

Frank well said, covered this kid and had him 5-7 round. I think with a little more physical maturity this kid is going to be dynamite. In the tough ACC ,Batting avg against him is about .228. Love his make up ,love his deception and do not be fooled ,he comes right at you

Dead on with Manno. I think him being a 38th round pick had to have something to do with signability. Take it from me I played against him for three years. By far the most difficult lefty in the ACC. Just difficult to pick up

I go to UVA and am the biggest Cavs fan on campus. Duke pitched Manno against us naturally on a friday night. He was lights out , I hate him when he pitches against us,but as a baseball fan ,man he was lights out 7 inn, 4 hits 1 Run,11k’s. I thought he was one of the better pitchers we faced. in the Acc that is saying something. I have no idea why this kid was not a top 5 round draft pick
