I love the Green and Mier picks here, as well as what seems to be a percieved underdraft of Tony Sanchez, probably due to his going #4 overall and the backlash a lot of people have to him due to that. Mier has already started hitting more than some people thought, and you have to love the smooth actions and range he brings up the middle. Green should’ve been drafted higher, the wrist injury he playeed through last year at USC really hurt his draft status, and to get him at 17 overall is a great pick. He has a top 5 draft pick type skill set, so whoever is drafting for the Braves got a good deal. What did you think were the best picks in this draft Andy?

Being an upside guy, I thought the A.J. Cole and Deck McGuire picks were great.

And if someone missed out on one of the premium shortstops (Grant Green, Jio Mier) and is worried about their shortstop situation, he needs to take a strong look at Manny Machado.

I’m running the Red Sox in this league and was ready to leap on Sanchez if he had made it to me. My fallback wasn’t very original, mimicking the real Sox.

Just stumbled upon this post when googling Pomeranz. Pretty interesting dynasty league. I like the Brentz pick at #29. Still not exactly clear on the league’s rules, but I think he should pay quick dividends.

I’m not as sure about Mier. Heck from Houston knows the draft really well and he looked impressive in his first season, but I don’t know if he’ll hit enough at the mlb level to justify a round #1 selection. Where did Austin Wilson from Harvard-Westlake get picked?

My friend and I started a blog a few weeks ago that does mock drafts, prospect lists, etc. Y’all already seem pretty advanced, but this might help w/ your league.
